Bill is a highly experienced Banking lawyer with more than 25 years' experience of representing both domestic and offshore financial institutions. Over that time Bill has been involved in a wide array of financial structures and products. In particular Bill is highly respected for his skills in the following:

  • Bi lateral and syndicated debt facilities with particular focus on health and aged care, complex property financing, transport and education
  • Structured and asset finance, including trade and receivables financing as well as all forms of equipment financing, ranging from aircraft financing through to auto
  • Advising and documenting surety bond arrangements for Australian and offshore providers
  • Advising on structured debt arrangements

In addition to some of the more orthodox financing activities, Bill is widely recognised as one of the leading film finance lawyers in Australia, having been heavily involved in the introduction of the Producer Offset regime under the Australian Tax Act. Bill has acted for a number of US based banks active in the film and media financing space. Among the productions Bill has been involved in 'Hacksaw Ridge', The Water Diviner', Pacific Rim 2, Winchester' and several highly successful children's productions such as Beat Bugs and Motown.
